2 Iran films head to Tehran int'l Short Filmfest

Two Iranian docs have been chosen to compete in the international section of the 34th Tehran Short Film Festival.

According to a Saturday media release published on the fest's official website, the qualifying films include ‘The Sacred carpet’ by Mehdi Asadi and ‘The Black Bridge’ by Ayoub Marvanipour.

In 2017 edition of the fest, a total of 9 short films from Iran will be competing in the international section.

The 34th edition of the Tehran International Short Film Festival, to be directed by Seyyed-Sadeq Mousavi, is slated for October 17-22 in the Iranian capital city.

Organized by the Iranian Youth Cinema Society (IYCS), the festival is held to provide an opportunity for young filmmakers to exchange their experiences.
